H1 & H2 Sign Upgrade Project (Drilled Shafts)

For the H1&H2 Sign Upgrade Project, Kelikai was tasked with drilling 60” diameter drilled shafts, as deep foundations for the new freeway signage to be installed by our GC, Global Specialty.

Our quick mobilization BG33 Bauer drill, allowed us offload and assemble the rig with minimal disruption to busy freeway traffic. With several different 60” diameter drill tools in our inventory, we were able to penetrate through the variety of different soil types that we encountered, from hard to soft, and then use our specialty clean out bucket to make sure the bottom of the shaft was ready and clean for inspection by the geotechnical engineer. From there we dropped the reinforcing cages into the holes , and placed the shaft ready-mix concrete to finish off the drilled shafts.
